We are all looking forward to the winter fairy tale: the smell of tangerines and the sound of chimes, tea parties with ginger aroma in the evenings and a magical landscape outside the window. And someone is waiting for their own wedding at the most beautiful time of the year! We share ideas of a fairy-tale story.

Winter can rightly be called the most magical season for a dream wedding! All the innermost desires are made in these three frosty months. And if you put in at least a little effort, they also come true, right? An incredibly fabulous can be winter wedding. The design of the hall should not be neglected. We'll tell you about it now.

Silver branches, glass, cotton and shimmering lights - all these design elements can turn the space into a mysterious snow-covered forest.  Prefer white as a background. And you can experiment with it with the help of backlight.

Snow-white winter decor, highlighted with blue, pink or purple spotlights, looks impressive. In addition, the change of shades during the ceremony will diversify the action itself and provide a great background for wedding pictures.

magic winter wedding decor

«Winter» couples are grooms and brides who want to tell guests a love story, emphasize hobbies and, perhaps, reveal a piece of the character of their couple. And we must pay tribute to these newlyweds, because they are not afraid to freeze during the wedding photo shoot! Winter wedding, decoration of the hall, the choice of snacks during the preparation of the event - everything recedes into the background, leaving the emotions received during this frosty holiday.

We turned to two well-known Moscow wedding companies with a request to tell us about wedding decoration in «winter» style and how to make the decor truly memorable.

Head of the Wedding People agency Elena Shirshova:

When the couple came to our agency, they knew exactly how they wanted to see their wedding. It was deep autumn outside the window, nature froze on the eve of winter, and Moscow was waiting for white fluffy snow, festive troubles in preparation for the New Year and Christmas and the associated joyful mood. In addition, the bride's childhood was spent in the present North with severe frosts, riding reindeer or dog sledding on untouched snow. This childish feeling of an imminent miracle was the inspiration for the winter decor.

In floristry, we used only white color, and in the decorations - transparent glass and branches covered with frost. It created the illusion of a clean snow-covered space. On the tables there were hydrangeas in tall transparent cylinders, glowing from the inside - they looked like fluffy snow hats. Thin white branches with hundreds of light bulbs reminded of a sparkling winter forest, and the silver and icyness of Baccarat crystal cups complemented the impression of a winter fairy tale.

And this is another story of «winter» newlyweds, or rather decorators, who worked on creating a miracle for a happy couple - decorating a winter-style wedding.

Founder of company LIDS EVENTHOUSE Lydia Simonova:

The bride and groom really wanted their winter wedding, the design of the hall of which would reflect Russian motifs, to be held in a certain «noble nest 19th century». We offered to build a decor in the style of a winter Russian estate. For this purpose, the winter splendor was recreated with the atmosphere of that time, described in the works of Russian classics.

We placed a classic rotunda in the ceremony area, next to which there were snow-covered lanterns, and cascades of snowflakes fell from above - this is how the effect of falling snowflakes was created. The decoration of the hall was completely stylized as a large mansion with antique furniture, windows with lambrequins - everything is designed in a calm color scheme characteristic of such houses: light pastel tones and cream, beige shades prevailed.

To create the right environment, we used a lot of natural branches and artificial snow, cotton lace on the tables and, of course, snow-white roses.
